Gold Medal For Local Athlete

Louise Hazel, 25, of March has won a Gold Medal in the Heptathlon at the Commonwealth Games. This is fantastic for Louise and she is an inspiration for all aspiring athletes in the area. She came 5th in the last race finishing within the nine seconds she needed to be to win behind the Silver Medal winner Jessica Zelinka.

Hazel is part of the Birchfield Harriers who have produced athletic stars such as Denise Lewis.
