Wisbech Park to be Refurbished
By Wisbech People | Tuesday, February 23, 2010, 18:39
At a cost of a huge £72,000, Wisbech Park is being redeveloped in time for the Summer months.
The tennis courts and bowling green will be refurbished, with the building of a multi-use games area. Weather will also be taken into consideration with the rise of an enclosed all weather surface, ready for all sorts of sports and games.
All existing surfaces will be redrained, repainted and fixed if broken. The work is to be carried out by a contractor based in Whittlesey by the name of RJ Warren Landscapes.
Needless to say the expectations are nothing but high with regards to the finish of the park.

Could it have been an accident? It seems an odd bit of vandalism, to try to burn down a playground - aren swings and climbing frames these days mostly made of metal?

Reportthis will be very good if its not vandalised first. In our village we had a new area made for toddlers and a larger area with swings and ropes etc for teenagers. The first day it was opened someone tried to set fire to it.Whats wrong with the youth today? you try and create something for them and thats the way they react.
