Wisbech Driving Test Centre Set To Close
By Laura_Spodula | Friday, January 22, 2010, 12:25
The driving test centre in Wisbech is set to close this year in March, meaning anyone learning to drive from then on will have to travel to King's Lynn or Peterborough.
The centre is being closed for economic reasons and the with the new centre in King's Lynn the Wisbech site's facilities would be no comparison.
The location of the driving test centre in Wisbech could be construed as awkward for driving test candidates, as a past learner I would agree that the small space in which to manoeuvre is difficult, however learners will come across situations that are challenging, so why not start it there?
Wisbech is a town that is supposed to be set for economic growth and redevelopment, but with the test centre closing this is yet another blow for the town.

Sure cars pollute, but did you know that cows pollute more? We need to start the cull.

ReportGood. More people should be using public transport. Or, perhaps, not complaining that they're fat and start to use their legs more. Cars pollute.

ReportI agree with you that the closure is a bad sign for growth of our town, however "awkward for candidates"??? It doesn't get much easier than Wisbech if you want to pass first time! I actually passed third time round, having failed twice in Bristol (mega tough) but then sailed through Wisbech with one minor! I am a driving god!
