The Election Day is Here!

After all the campaigning, advertising and billboards the time has finally arrived for the country to vote, including us Wisbech, in the North East Cambs. district. I myself have been to vote and was very disappointed with the turn out at the polling station, there was myself and two other people there. I understand that we are given all day to vote but this was around 5pm and no one else was around to vote. Perhaps this was because people are coming home from work and there would be a far better turn out later in the day. It must be very dull for the people sitting at the desks waiting for people, I wonder if they feel obligated to talk about politics!

I must show my appreciation to the Liberal Democrat and Labour candidates for answering our questions and allowing us to better understand their policies. I know personally that most of it goes over the head when they ramble on so much! I hope it helped you decide who to give your vote too.

The polling station itself was clean enough and but there was no real atmosphere for lack of people, upon walking in they ask you for your number. I'm not a number I'm a person I think to myself!

I hope you all have taken the time to vote, as it only takes a few seconds if you have decided before you get there that is!
