Eastern European Jailed For Unwillingness To Wear Second Hand Boots
By Wisbech People | Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 21:58
The Eastern European farm worker had to carry out community service but refused because he did not want to wear second hand boots. His solicitor said he had a genuine concern for his own health and safety. The worker in question had a strong objection to wearing already worn boots.
The judge suggested that the man should not spend so much on drink and more on buying his own boots.
The worker had failed to pay £200 in compensation for smashing a charity shop window and £85 costs. He had also incurred a further total of £475 in unpayed fines.
