Some might say it’s a little too late to be thinking about
-
Me as a bridesmaid, at a summer wedding!
weddings this time of year now that summer is practically over. My cousin got
married in December a few years ago and I was bridesmaid, luckily the weather
wasn’t too bad but it was cold! It was set in a church and churches are known
to be cold during these months, let alone summer! So if you are thinking of getting married during these colder months then please read on..
If you do not want to get married in a church for whatever
reason you could always consider Peckover House as an option. The grandure of
the house and the beautiful surroundings make this an ideal place to get
hitched! I know of a couple who got married there and had a very splendid day. You have to pick your days with care as they have to book around
the place being open to the public.
If that doesn’t float your boat perhaps Elme Hall Hotel
would which is located on Elm High Road. This hotel is licenced for weddings,
civil partnerships, renewals of those vows and even baby naming ceremonies!
They have different sized rooms to cater to whatever the needs of your event
are so you shouldn’t be disappointed with this choice.
Wisbech Castle can also be a choice for you to have your marquee
wedding reception or civil ceremony. The surroundings would be perfect for the
all important photographs! The Fendick Room can hold 32 guests in addition to
the bride and groom.
Wisbech can also cater for your wedding gown needs with
plenty of shops to choose from whatever your taste. First of all there is The
Wedding Box located on Norfolk Street, it actually says on their website there
is a closing down sale so if you’re currently looking for something get
yourself down there pronto! This shop also offers a range of bridesmaid
dresses, shoes and accessories.
The next I would mention is Bridal Connections on Post
Office Lane. The owner of this shop is a designer and you are able to acquire
your dress made to measure as a bespoke design or ready to wear off the rails,
it is entirely up to you. All brides here will be able to keep an original
fashion sketch following the details of their perfect gown. Ready to wear gowns
can also be customised with accessories and crystals to make sure your dress is
an original especially for you.
The last shop I will be mentioning is Young Romantics down
Scrimshires Passage. This shop caters not just for bridal gowns but for prom
dresses, bridesmaid dresses, accessories and even mother of the bride attire!
The mother of the bride is stylish if not a little much, but you would feel
very elegant wearing any of them.
Now you have the dress and the venue what about wedding
photographers? Well there is Robert Kent Photography located down Weasenham
Lane. This photographer has different types of packages depending on budgets
and what you would like.
You could also get in contact with October Ward found on
Magazine Lane who also does a variety of different packages. If you can’t find
the right package for you, you can contact her to discuss what you want. A lot
of these photos appear very arty, tastefully so, so if that’s more of what you
want then it would be good to contact this photographer.
