stereotype but it is more likely to be the older members of the community who
are more bothered about their little piece of paradise.
I enjoy looking after my cactus in the window which requires
very little watering and that’s exactly what I like about it! However if you
are unlike me then you may be wanting to be thinking now what you want to be
planting in your garden ready for the Spring season.
The flowers, in my opinion, most associated with Spring are
Daffodils also known as Narcissus. The flowering period is between February and
May. The best thing about them is they like most land types so there is no
reason why you shouldn’t have them in your garden or window box!
I have found a fantastic website with its own bulb directory
and videos showing you how best to create your very own Garden of Eden.
Your local garden centres should be your first port of call
when wanting to purchase your garden goodies. Union Jack Nurseries on Barton
Road provide a variety of plants shrubs and trees and most other things
required to landscape your patch of green green grass. The Long Acre Garden
Centre also provides a friendly service at the end of Leverington Common near
Wisbech St. Mary. There are plenty of other decent garden centres and nurseries
in our directory should you wish to peruse them.
Happy Gardening!
Please post your own photos of your fabulous flora!
