Police Scared of the Dark?
By MykeSaint | Friday, January 28, 2011, 11:37
From the Wisbech Standard:
A POLICE chief stunned town councillors after telling them he had used health and safety fears to stop his officers entering the £1million Waterlees play park after 8pm.
Says it all doesn't it? Police now refuse to go out in the dark, as they might be hurt.
Stay at home under the duvet, I say. It's scary out there.

ReportPolice backpedalling? I like that! Lol. not seen a Copper on a bike for years. In fact not seen a copper for many weeks, apart from passing me on the A1 last night, they were breaking the speed limit with no 'Blue Lights'.
anyway back to the story. It would not surprise me to find the Police were (how shall I put it?) 'Mistaken'. just like the Police person who told me he'd issued a Civil Penalty Notice to someone, only for me to find out he had not! I wrote to the Chief Constable (the last one, not present one) I see she retired, how they know is beyond me, as she never replied to my letter.

ReportSimple fact is most people who don't bother with tax and insurance on a car will be criminally minded individuals,so when the police set up the road side checks every person they check goes through the little mobile roadside computer its got more to do with that then having threadbare tyres ..shoplifters mainly drug addicts stealing to feed their habit ,they will tell you its a victimless crime,we have caught five shoplifters in my workplace in the last 3 months one was a young teenage lad bullied into it ,the other four Eastern Europeans men ,the last one we caught had a 3"inch bladed hunting lock knife on him...

ReportSo why do the Police bother with motorists? Shop lifters? Surely they should concentrate on the 'crime ridden' area? If you know it's crime ridden, and they don't are they doing their job?
Mind you my experience of the Police is that they don't do much anyway.
