Pedestrianisation Of Wisbech Market Place To Be Almost Enforced
By Wisbech People | Friday, May 28, 2010, 23:05
How long has this been talked about and almost done but not actually carried out? Well it appears that Fenland Council have made a decision that they want to limit the amount of vehicle traffic in the Market Place much to the annoyance of market tradesman.
There will be a limited number of disabled spaces for those more unable to park further away and any deliveries from larger vehicles will need some kind of electronic access. However that will work!
Apparently whatever is decided shall be implemented next year. Or will it? What are your thoughts?

The "option 2" decision taken by the Area Joint Committee a few months ago was a good compromise between safety, usability and the needs of traders (particularly during a difficult recession.)
That decision was scrapped and replaced by FDC cabinet's new idea. I don't really understand why.
I blogged about this yesterday.
