Moving Taxi rank shelved.

I see that the proposed moving of the taxi rank from the horsefair to behind the Case has been shelved. I for one am pleased that it is staying put, especially for the elderly people that used them. The piece of land maybe now be used for extra disabled parking spaces. Will this be a better use of the land, what do you think?

What a shame this wonderful internet technology does`nt come with body language and facial expressions...( big sigh and smile )
Often peoples meanings and thoughts do not convey very successfully through the keyboard....( grimance).....often time is spent explaining, pacifying or apologiesing...( shrug of shoulders ) I understand perfectly what your comments meant...( knitting brow ). After all everyone is entitled to an opinion and point of view.( big smile )

Perhaps I should have put some smilies in that post. I'm confident - though they are the opposition to my party - that the Liberal Democrats believe in the things they campaign for. Which doesn't make it any less of clever electoral strategy - but Im not suggesting they only take these positions in order to win. I know plenty of them and they're nice people - even if (in my opinion) their politics is wrong. In regards to the "old boys network" I haven't found that to be the case. I'm a relative newcomer (eight years ago) to the area and have been welcomed warmly. Local politics is just local people trying to do the best for the communities they love. Politics does have some "game" aspects to its practice, by its nature, but at its roots its done for the right reasons in my experience.
