Letter Being Sent Out To Stop Vandalism
By Laura_Spodula | Wednesday, July 21, 2010, 20:38
Citizens residing in Manea have been victims of anti social behaviour before and last Saturday was no exception. A group of around 20 youths attempted to break into the village pavilion in the early hours, which would have ruined the village gala happening the next day.
In light of this recent incident a letter will be sent out to all parents and grandparents in the area. The letter is basic, praising the good in the village and trying to weed out the bad. If the trouble does not stop then prosecutions will be brought. Also asking if they can be sure where their child or grandchild was at 2.30 Saturday morning.
Do you think this letter will make any difference?

with comment to laura`s question....will this letter make a difference?
I would argue that if you do not know where your child is at 2am in the morning then i would seriously doubt that a letter would make any difference!!!!!!

I would argue that if you do not know where your child is at 2 am, then a letter is going to make absolutely no difference.!!!!!!

ReportAre you aware that there are two local committees who can help you deal with this sort of thing. The Neighbourhood Police Panel and the Neighbourhood Management Board are both public meetings where you can take issues like this and present them to ALL the various people who can help - in person - and then guarantee a response and strategy. If you'd like to go along, let me know and I can email you when the next one is taking place. It's got to be worth a try, right?
