Floody Hell!

I did say it was nearly the end of summer guys and in honour
of that the weather has taken a turn for the worse and if it doesn’t rain it
pours right?! Flood warnings have been taking place all over the country and our
part has been no exception!
Luckily recently our flood defences at the River
Nene, North Brink have been redone. Apparently it has taken 330,000 bricks to
bring the defences up to scratch. With the torrential rain that we have
recently experienced the wall will be put to the test. I haven’t seen how high
the river has gotten but I expect it with the storms to be pretty high. Maybe
you could enlighten me. People have suffered with driving as the roads have
been flooded, one driver even telling me they had to drive in the middle of the
road sometimes because the puddles were so large they were worried about
flooding the engine.
Should we really be complaining/worrying about a little
rainfall when there are people in Pakistan suffering from real flooding?
These people have been forced from their homes and a lot of
their crops destroyed. I find it almost laughable when as soon as there is a
little heavy rain on the way the flood warnings come up.
Has the rainfall scuppered your plans?
What are your thoughts?
