Miss Saigon (Schools Edition), Angles Theatre, Wisbech (Apr.2-6)

Performed by RATz amateur youth theatre, this is the schools edition of Miss Saigon, the musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, with lyrics by Boublil and Richard Maltby Jr. Based on Giacomo Puccini's opera Madame Butterfly, it tells the tragic tale of a doomed romance involving a young Vietnamese woman abandoned by her American GI. The setting is the late 1970s in Saigon during the Vietnam War.
