This time of the year there are lots of 'blinged up' houses around Wisbech. What do people think of them? Are they tacky vehicles for peoples one-upmanship & a terrible waste of electricity when we should all be saving electricity for environmental (& cost) reasons or are they a great celebration of festive cheer & a positive source of community spirit?

Personally I wouldn't put them up on my house but I love seeing them & fully support anyone else who does. What do you think?

i do have 2 lots of lights on my house , but as i do not use my houselights of an evening , i feel that i am not wasting energy as i economise elsewhere. i think it is nice and cheery to see , and far more waste is around us by big firms , happy christmas to all and a good new year !!
