Has anyone else read the figures of the new league tables for Secondary Schools in Wisbech? The figures are truly shocking. What they mean is that only one in four pupils leaves school with basic literacy/numeracy and just 2% will leave with five GCSEs including "hard" subjects. That means, in effect, a chance at a decent university. Just 2%! And the complacency of the authorities is astounding. This is an outrage and we must get a new school going straight away. Why should only the rich people get a decent chance in life? Why?
