What a huge question 8ubble8oy....generally though I would say no it has not got better,....especially on the surface of things.........the things i see everyday.
Unfortunately that is the only gauge most of us have...so if things are not visibly improved, we can only wonder what chaos lies behind the scenes.

As a relative newcomer I'm really interested in what the big changes have been in the last decade....and are they really that much different to any other small market town?
Surely not ALL the changes have been for the worse???

Wisbech has lost its identity it has always been a industrial/ agricultural town were people who was never going to set the world alight academically could always get a job in a local factory i:e moy park greencore del monte premier foods etc, they would earn a decent wage work hard meet a girl settle down get married ,all those factories,i have mentioned at a polite estimate are working at 65% migrant workforce now were have all these young local; people gone who used to do these jobs, fell back into the benefit trap..saw your update about thomas clarkson scoring below 35% in GCSE these children are the children of those people, another problem with Wisbech is the ageing out of touch Wisbech town council, who are beginning to look like a brochure picture for a SAGA holiday...would like to know why know councillor defended the people off wisbech in the BBC1 documentary that made Wisbech and its people are laughing stock ....
