SAT 11AM float parade 3PM SECOND FLOAT Parade 7pm live music on the market place (market moved on to chapel road carpark) 8pm classical reticital in Peckover house and a beer festival in Elgoods gardens will also be a showing of Dean spangle at the luxe in the daytime at 12pm SUNDAY 10AM five-side football tournament at Tom woods beer...Poland v Lithuania basketball match at the hudson..inter school raft building mini dragon boats competition to be held in the main swimming pool,best dressed s***** dog competition at the oasis with a afternoon BBQ.a brass band in the bandstand....ending with firework display over the boathouse on sunday night ....Cannot fault St peters church flowers stalls and the excellent pop up cafes and tea rooms ,the demographic of Wisbech has changed so much the school and local factory floats just don't cut it any more,they are not a reflection of the community ..its seems to have become some inter school we are the best competition ,what chance has a school like Orchards got with over 50% migrant children how do you get these families involved in something,they feel no part of ,the event should be a celebration of Wisbech as a town ... i also heard that four floats had chosen GREAT FIRE OF LONDON just a coincidence its part of the year 2 curriculum LAZY THINKING ...guess i'm going to get the same old reply on here about how fantastic it was parts of it are.but there is to much smoke being blown up peoples bums,starting to think its getting in their eyes...remember next year is an Olympic year ..lets push for a gold medal rose fair two solid days of events embracing our great little town and its history....
