In January 2013 an exciting multimedia project was launched at Wisbech Library, aimed at young people aged 13-19 years. It was called Click! Wisbech Captured.
Working with traditional 35mm photography, digital photography and mobile phones, the participants took inspiration from both the Lilian Ream Collection and contemporary photographers such as Martin Parr. They created a new social documentary archive for Wisbech – past and present – through photography and sound. ⿨Click! Wisbech Captured, forms part of a season of cultural activities happening across Fenland libraries called ' Arts Alive in Libraries' funded by Arts Council England.
ADeC's Project Manager Zoe Davidson who delivered the project said 'Young people led the project, working alongside a professional photographer and sound artist. They learnt new media skills, whilst exploring their own heritage. They really have captured Wisbech through their own eyes. I am very proud with what they have produced… we hope you enjoy it."
