Thomas Clarkson Community College (TCCC) in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire needs a major pat on the back with the release of a new OFSTED report rating them as 'Satisfactory'.  The school has gone from being a failing disaster area on the danger list to an educational establishment about to move into an almost complete £34million facility no longer under notice to improve in the space of 3 or 4 years.

As a parent of a seven year old, three years ago the thought of sending my child to Thomas Clarkson Community College was horrifying.  Discussions about how we were ever going to be able to afford the Grammar School fees were commonplace & this feeling of dread was shared very widely.  I know more than one couple who have moved house to be out of Thomas Clarkson Community Colleges catchment area.

Now, I am filled with hope that at the current rate of improvement, Thomas Clarkson Community College will not be the choice of last resort but a place that we send our children to with hope & expectation rather than dread & gloom.  Wisbech needs a strong Thomas Clarkson Community College as much as it needs the excellent Grammar school.  Lets get behind the principal maureen Strudwick & her team & all the pupils & help & encourage them to keep going forward.
