Sport's Round-up

I thought I'd try & do a regular story on Wisbech's teams in the three major sports.  I haven't actually seen any of the games mentioned here although my father gave me a brief run down on the rugby he watched.

Football

Wisbech Town FC 0- 1 Brantham Athletic

Wisbech lost their latest Ridgeons Premier League match against second placed Brantham Athletic leaving the Fenmen in 4th, 7 points from the top of the table but with a game in hand.

Rugby

Wisbech played Thetford in the latest round of the RFU Junior Vase on Saturday & there seems to be some confusion about the result.  The Wisbech Rugby Club website reports that they enjoyed a comprehensive 66 - 12 win although my father went to watch & left at half time with, according to him, Wisbech about 40 points down.  I'll ammend this when I have actual confirmation of the result
