Publican assulted at the Black Bear in Wisbech

A woman assaulted a publican at the Black Bear in Oldy Lynn Road, Wisbech on Sunday, October 23.  

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack in which a 48-year-old was punched in the face.

The publican was closing up at The Black Bear at about 12.15am when three women turned up asking for a drink.

When he said the pub was closed an altercation occurred, during which he was punching in the face by one of the group.

The offender was white, 18 to 19, 5'6'', slim with blonde hair. She was wearing a beige jacket and hoop earrings.

Detective Constable Ahmed Ishaq, investigating, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened."
