The latest trend in the 'pop-up' phenomenon arrives in Wisbech on Wednesday as part of the celebrations for the Wisbech Rose Fair 2011.

Octavia Cafe opens on Wednesday 29th June 2011
A popular idea in many big cities, this new trend is just catching on here in Wisbech. It gives businesses a chance to test the water by opening for a very short period of time, see how things go and then finalise their plans before a formal opening.
So how is it going to work? Well, The Octavia Cafe opens its doors for business for the first time at 10am on Wednesday 29th June 2011 and will close again on Saturday 2nd July 2011 at 4pm. It will then open fully later in the year....watch this site for more news on this.....
But for now, if you want to be part of this fresh new concept, here's your chance! The cafe will be serving hot and cold drinks and a fantastic selection of cakes. Located on the first floor of the Octavia View building, it's got a choice of seating areas with the more familiar cafe style chairs and tables alongside a smaller room with leather sofas for that more relaxed atmosphere.
It's only open for four days and with the Rose Fair in town, it's likely to be a popular choice, especially with a great location right next to South Brink so make sure you go along to 'see and be seen' in the newest cafe in town!
And forget the diet....if the lemon drizzle cake I enjoyed there today is anything to go by, you'll be tempted to buy more than just one slice!
Come on Wisbech, let's show that we can move with the times and support Octavia's Cafe....but be quick, it's only open until Saturday!
